Dr. Lal PathLabs reported FY25 revenue of Rs. 2,461 crore, up 10.5% YoY, with EBITDA margin of 28.3% and full-year PAT of Rs. 492 crore (up 35.9%). Q4 revenue came in at Rs. 603 crore (up 10.5%) with EBITDA margin of 28.1%. Q4 PAT of Rs. 156 crore included a one-time Rs. 40.8 crore deferred tax benefit from Suburban Diagnostics' voluntary liquidation, which was merged into the parent. Sample volumes grew 9.5% and patient volumes grew 3.8%, with revenue per patient rising 6.4% to Rs. 887. The company added 18 new labs and ~845 patient service centres, and declared a total dividend of Rs. 24 per share (240%) for FY25. Net cash stood at Rs. 1,229 crore.
Management guided FY26 revenue growth of 11-12% (an improvement from 10.5%) but warned of ~100 bps lower EBITDA margins at around 27% due to investments in new geographies, talent, digital initiatives and marketing. The strong cash position (Rs. 1,229 crore) is being preserved for organic and inorganic opportunities, particularly in South and West India, which could be a positive catalyst if executed well.
