Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) has published a notice in Business Standard (English and Hindi) on 30 June 2025 informing shareholders about an upcoming transfer of unclaimed dividends and equity shares to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF). Under Section 124(6) of the Companies Act, 2013, shareholders who have not claimed their dividends for FY 2017-18 (unclaimed for seven consecutive years) are at risk. The transfer of such unclaimed dividends and corresponding shares to IEPF will happen on or after 1 September 2025. Both physical and dematerialised shares are liable for transfer. Affected shareholders have been asked to contact the company or its Registrar (Alankit Assignments Ltd) to claim their holdings before the deadline.
This is a routine regulatory notice, not a material business event. Shareholders with long-unclaimed dividends from FY 2017-18 must act before 1 September 2025 to avoid losing their shares to IEPF, but shares can still be claimed back from IEPF later. No direct impact on stock price is expected.
