Droneacharya Aerial Innovations has opened its seventh DGCA-certified Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, in collaboration with Alter Academy Private Limited. The new center will offer Small-Class drone pilot training, along with foundational courses and specialized modules in agriculture, surveying, and aerial photography. This expands the company's footprint in southern India, adding to existing centers in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh. The company has so far trained over 1,500 DGCA-certified drone pilots and 200 defense officials, and aligns its expansion with India's goal of becoming a Global Drone Hub by 2030.
The new RPTO strengthens Droneacharya's national training network and supports revenue diversification, though no financial details or order value were disclosed. Expansion into South India could drive incremental student enrollment and training revenue over the medium term.
