DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited received DGCA approval for Medium Class Drone Training at IIT Ropar RPTO.

Droneacharya Aerial Innovations has received DGCA approval to conduct Medium Class drone training at its Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) located at IIT Ropar, Punjab. Previously, this RPTO was approved only for Small Class drones under the rotorcraft (RPAS) category for VLOS operations, and now its scope has been expanded to cover both Small and Medium Class drones. The company says it has already trained over 1,500 DGCA-certified drone pilots across India, including defence personnel, and operates RPTOs in seven states. The expansion aligns with government skilling programmes like Skill India, Drone Shakti, and Namo Drone Didi.
