Duke Offshore Ltd reported a profit after tax of Rs 89.41 lakhs in Q3 FY26, a sharp turnaround from a loss of Rs 77.91 lakhs in Q3 FY25. Total income for the quarter was Rs 145.14 lakhs, but this was almost entirely driven by other income (Rs 145.14 lakhs) while revenue from operations remained negligible at just Rs 6.93 lakhs. For the nine months ended December 2025, the company narrowed its loss to Rs 3.29 lakhs versus Rs 166.20 lakhs a year earlier. The statutory auditor, Kirtane & Pandit LLP, issued an unmodified review opinion, and management confirmed the company can continue as a going concern. However, other equity remains deeply negative at Rs -510.75 lakhs, signalling that accumulated losses exceed the company's Rs 985.72 lakhs share capital base.
The headline swing to profit is encouraging, but shareholders should note that the turnaround is almost entirely driven by non-operating 'other income' rather than any meaningful improvement in core marine engineering and shipping business. The deeply negative reserves and minimal operating revenue indicate the underlying business remains financially fragile.
