Duroply Industries reported Q1 FY26 revenue of Rs. 93.5 crore, up 10.3% year-on-year but down 15% from the previous quarter, with profit before tax of Rs. 1.88 crore (nearly 50% YoY growth). EBITDA margin improved to 5.8% from 4.8% a year ago, helped by better operating leverage, while gross margin held steady at 34.1%. Volume growth was around 9%, with the mid-segment 'Tower' brand posting a strong 45% YoY growth, though the premium Duro segment was soft due to war-related disruptions in North India, the company's strongest market. Management guided to an EBITDA margin of 6.5–7% by FY27, a double-digit ROCE target by end of FY26, and 15–16% consistent revenue growth, supported by an asset-light model with 70% current plant utilization (room to reach 85%) and expansion of contract manufacturing.
The margin improvement roadmap and revenue growth targets are positive signals for shareholders, but near-term softness in the premium segment and a lengthening cash conversion cycle (113 days) are watch points. The stock could react positively if execution on the FY27 margin target materializes.
