Eco Recycling Ltd, a BSE-listed e-waste management company, has launched a nationwide initiative with its associate brand BookMyJunk to deploy 100,000 'Eco-Bins' across India for collecting small electronic waste like mobile phones, chargers, cables and hard disks. These bins will be installed at educational institutions, corporate offices and commercial establishments to enable scientific disposal of e-waste. The initiative, called the 'Awareness cum Action' drive, aims to create a structured and traceable collection network, support India's circular economy goals and strengthen compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks. The company estimates a CSR and EPR contribution of ₹200–250 crore to be deployed in phases over 5 years for manufacturing, logistics and awareness activities.
This is a long-term CSR/EPR-led initiative, not an immediate revenue driver — shareholders should view it as a brand-building and ecosystem expansion effort rather than near-term earnings catalyst. The phased 5-year deployment and dependence on third-party participation mean financial benefits will accrue gradually.
