Ecoplast Limited has received the certified copy of the NCLT Ahmedabad Bench order dated 14 May 2026, sanctioning the Scheme of Amalgamation of Kunal Plastics Private Limited (Transferor) into Ecoplast Limited (Transferee). The appointed date for the merger is 01 April 2025. Both companies operate in similar lines of business—manufacturing co-extruded plastic films for packaging and industrial applications—and belong to the same promoter group. The scheme aims to create synergies, simplify group structure, eliminate administrative duplication, reduce overheads, and leverage combined assets and infrastructure for better utilization and future growth. Kunal Plastics will be dissolved without winding up upon the scheme becoming effective. The accounting treatment follows the Pooling of Interest Method under Ind-AS 103. All assets, liabilities, employees, and pending proceedings of the Transferor will transfer to Ecoplast.
This amalgamation consolidates a related group company into Ecoplast, potentially strengthening its plastic films business through synergies and scale. No material impact on Ecoplast's existing operations is anticipated as both entities share the same promoter group.
