EID Parry reported consolidated revenue of Rs. 8,724 crore for Q1 FY26, up 29% year-on-year from Rs. 6,747 crore. Consolidated EBITDA rose 70% to Rs. 895 crore, and profit after tax (attributable to owners) jumped to Rs. 246 crore from Rs. 91 crore, driven mainly by the Farm Inputs division (Coromandel International) which posted a profit of Rs. 741 crore versus Rs. 494 crore. Standalone results remain in the red with a loss of Rs. 28 crore, although this narrowed sharply from a loss of Rs. 79 crore a year ago. The sugar segment reported a loss of Rs. 49 crore on a 14% drop in revenue due to lower release quotas, while distillery revenue grew 12% to Rs. 296 crore and consumer products revenue fell 11% to Rs. 192 crore. Statutory auditor Price Waterhouse issued an unmodified (clean) limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
Strong consolidated earnings growth, led by the high-margin Farm Inputs business, is positive for the stock and should support valuation. The standalone sugar business is still loss-making but losses are narrowing, and Coromandel's pending NACL Industries acquisition (awaiting SEBI approval) could provide a future growth trigger.
