Elecon Engineering reported Q3 FY26 consolidated revenue of Rs 552 crore (+4% YoY), but EBITDA fell 23% to Rs 109 crore with margin contracting sharply to 19.8% from 27.0%, and PAT dropped 33% to Rs 72 crore. Order intake for the quarter rose 7% to Rs 701 crore, and the open order book grew 24% YoY to Rs 1,372 crore as of December 31, 2025. The Gear division was nearly flat (Rs 429 crore, +1.3%) with EBIT margin falling to 18.2%, while the MHE division grew 16.3% to Rs 123 crore but saw EBIT margin drop to 20.2% from 30.9%. Management cut FY26 guidance, saying revenue may be lower by up to 5% and adjusted EBITDA margins by up to 2%, though they expect recovery supported by healthy order book and inquiry pipeline.
Negative near-term sentiment likely as profit metrics declined sharply despite revenue growth, and management formally trimmed FY26 guidance on both revenue and margins. However, the strong 24% YoY growth in order book to Rs 1,372 crore provides revenue visibility for coming quarters, which may cushion the downside.
