Elin Electronics reported Q4 FY26 operating revenue of Rs. 324 crores (up 3% YoY), but EBITDA collapsed to Rs. 6 crores from Rs. 20.2 crores YoY due to sharp raw material cost surges from Middle East war disruptions and USD-INR depreciation. The company posted a consolidated loss of Rs. 0.8 crores versus a profit of Rs. 17.2 crores last year. Gross margins compressed by 390 basis points. Management implemented 10-18% price increases to recover margins, with full transmission expected by June 2026. Fans business grew strongly at 67% YoY while motors declined. The new Bhiwadi facility is largely complete with commercial production expected by July-August 2026. FY27 revenue guidance of 15% growth was provided, but EBITDA guidance withheld due to cost volatility. The company has net cash of Rs. 70 crores and generated cash from operations of Rs. 40.6 crores in FY26.
The quarter shows severe margin pressure from external factors, but management is taking pricing action to recover margins by Q2. The Bhiwadi facility ramp-up to 80% capacity may take 4 years, limiting near-term ROCE improvement. The CEO departure and procurement oversight transition to family management adds uncertainty on execution.
