Emami Paper Mills' Board, at its May 20, 2025 meeting, approved audited results for Q4 and FY25. Revenue from operations for FY25 was Rs. 1,928.04 crore (vs Rs. 1,993.84 crore in FY24), while profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 26.01 crore (vs Rs. 84.30 crore). Q4 FY25 PAT was just Rs. 3.92 crore versus Rs. 27.19 crore a year ago. The Board has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 1.60 per equity share (80% on Rs. 2 face value) and Rs. 8 per preference share (8%), subject to shareholder approval at the AGM on September 3, 2025. The Company also converted 20 lakh Series I 8% preference shares into Non-Convertible Non-Cumulative Preference Shares, extending their tenure by 4 years with redemption at Rs. 716 premium per share. Mukesh Kumar Agarwal was confirmed as full-time CFO, and Mamta Binani was reappointed as Independent Director for a second 5-year term.
Despite a steep drop in profits (over 69% YoY decline in FY25 PAT), the company has maintained its equity dividend payout, which may reassure income-focused shareholders. However, the weak earnings, preference share restructuring, and high debt levels could weigh on near-term stock sentiment.
