Emcure is buying the remaining 12.05% minority stake in biopharma subsidiary Gennova from Dr Sanjay Singh and others, taking its holding to 100 percent and making Gennova a wholly owned subsidiary. Samit Mehta will lead Gennova as CEO, focusing on its biologics and biosimilars portfolio including Elaxim, Vintor, Xgrast and Hamsyl. The company says the transaction will not have a material impact on consolidated financials, and its deleveraging path, capex plans and R&D investment plans remain unchanged.
Simplifies Gennova ownership and sharpens biologics focus; no material financial impact expected. Neutral to mildly positive for the growth story.
