Emerald Finance, a Chandigarh-based non-deposit taking NBFC, reported strong Q2 & H1 FY26 results. Consolidated Q2 FY26 total income rose 37.85% YoY to ₹6.91 Cr, with net profit jumping 75.47% to ₹3.60 Cr and EBITDA margin expanding to 79% (from 70%). On a standalone basis, net profit more than doubled to ₹2.98 Cr (up 107%), with EBITDA margin improving to 89%. For H1 FY26, consolidated net profit grew 80.56% to ₹6.79 Cr. Operationally, the company onboarded 145 corporates on its Earned Wage Access (EWA) platform, launched the 'Emerald EWA' mobile app on Google Play, and recorded gold loan syndication disbursements of over ₹115 Cr in the quarter. The company targets 250 corporate clients and 4,000 monthly transacting EWA users by end of FY26.
The sharp jump in profitability and expanding margins reflect strong operational leverage from the asset-light, tech-led EWA and loan syndication model, which is likely to be viewed positively by investors. The revised presentation signals management's confidence in sustained growth, though the absolute scale remains small (sub-₹25 Cr annual revenue).
