Energy Infrastructure Trust (formerly India Infrastructure Trust), managed by EnCap Investment Manager, announced the outcome of its board meeting held on May 19, 2025. The board approved the audited standalone and consolidated financial results for FY25 (year ended March 31, 2025), noted the valuation report by Mr. S. Sundararaman, and declared a Net Asset Value (NAV) of Rs. 88.35 per unit, down from Rs. 99.00 per unit as of March 31, 2024. Standalone profit after tax for FY25 stood at Rs. 820.87 crore (vs Rs. 1,079.23 crore in FY24), with total income at Rs. 848.61 crore. Net Distributable Cash Flow for FY25 was Rs. 1,007 crore, and total distributions to unitholders during the year amounted to Rs. 1,140.66 crore across four payouts. Credit ratings of CRISIL AAA/Stable and CARE AAA/Stable were reaffirmed. A post-year-end distribution of Rs. 4.0750 per unit was declared on April 10, 2025.
The NAV decline of about 11% (from Rs. 99 to Rs. 88.35) and the drop in profits and total returns reflect weaker fair value gains on non-convertible debentures. However, strong AAA credit ratings reaffirmed by both CRISIL and CARE, consistent quarterly distributions, and no erosion in the investment manager's net worth provide stability for unitholders.
