EPACK Durable's board, at its May 1, 2025 meeting, approved issuing a corporate guarantee of up to Rs. 138 Crore for its wholly owned subsidiary EPACK Manufacturing Technologies Private Limited (EMTPL). The guarantee will secure credit facilities EMTPL plans to avail from a bank to fund capital expenditure and working capital needs for developing and enhancing its manufacturing facilities. The guarantee will be treated as a contingent liability of EPACK Durable. The board also approved senior management changes: appointment of Ms. Surbhi Goyal as AVP-Sourcing & Purchase, elevation of Mohammad Lateef Choudhary from President-Manufacturing & Operations to Chief Operating Officer, and promotion of Girish Mokashi from AVP to VP (R&D – Room AC). The guarantee is being provided on an arm's length basis.
The Rs. 138 Crore guarantee creates a contingent liability for EPACK Durable if the subsidiary defaults on its borrowings, exposing the parent to potential financial risk. However, since EMTPL is a wholly owned unit and the funding supports its own capex and growth, this could also signal expansion plans within the group. Senior management elevations suggest continuity and internal promotions rather than disruption.
