EPACK Durable, India's second-largest room AC ODM, reported weak Q2 FY26 results with consolidated revenue of ₹2,133 Mn, down 43.4% from the previous quarter. EBITDA collapsed 94.8% QoQ to just ₹5 Mn, and net profit margin turned negative at -10.41%, reflecting severe margin pressure. The decline was driven mainly by the RAC (room AC) segment, which fell 76% QoQ due to unseasonal rains and a gap between the GST rate cut announcement and its implementation, leaving surplus inventory from Q1. However, demand rebounded strongly after GST was cut from 28% to 18%, supported by festive season sales during Navratri and Diwali, and inventory has now normalised. Other segments showed healthy growth — Small Domestic Appliances rose 45% QoQ led by air fryers, Components grew 73% QoQ, and the LDA segment surged 466% YoY. The company added 4 new customers in Q2, with supplies to begin from Q4 FY26, and is expanding capacity at its upcoming Sri City Hisense plant.
Short-term: Stock may face pressure as headline revenue and profit numbers look very weak, with RAC margins almost wiped out. Medium-term outlook hinges on the post-GST demand recovery, festive season tailwinds, and ramp-up in SDA, Components, and new customer wins, with management expressing confidence in meeting full-year targets.
