Eros International Media has submitted to the exchanges the newspaper clippings of its unaudited consolidated and standalone financial results for Q1 FY25 (quarter ended June 30, 2024), published in The Free Press Journal and Navshakti on May 16, 2025. This is a routine SEBI compliance filing under Regulation 47(1)(b). The consolidated results show total income of ₹4,226 lakhs for the quarter against ₹915 lakhs in the corresponding quarter last year. However, the company posted a consolidated net loss of ₹33,534 lakhs for Q1 FY25, much wider than the ₹8,138 lakh loss in Q1 FY24. For the full year ended March 31, 2024, the consolidated net loss was ₹47,973 lakhs on total income of ₹19,142 lakhs. The results were originally approved by the board on May 14, 2025, and are being published nearly 10 months after the quarter ended.
While this is technically a procedural compliance filing, the underlying numbers flag deepening losses and very delayed disclosure, which is a negative signal for shareholders. The widening year-on-year quarterly loss on only modestly higher revenue suggests ongoing operational stress at the company.
