ESAF Small Finance Bank has published its audited standalone financial results for the quarter and full year ended March 31, 2025 in Financial Express and Mangalam newspapers, as required by SEBI listing rules. The bank reported a full-year net loss of ₹52,139 lakh for FY25, swinging from a profit of ₹42,557 lakh in FY24. Total income for FY25 rose modestly to ₹4,32,931 lakh from ₹4,26,025 lakh, but Q4 FY25 income fell to ₹1,03,678 lakh versus ₹1,15,184 lakh in Q4 FY24. Asset quality weakened with Gross NPAs rising to 6.87% from 4.76% a year ago and Net NPAs climbing to 2.99% from 2.26%. Basic EPS turned negative at (₹10.13) for the year versus ₹8.96 previously, while Capital Adequacy Ratio stood at a still-comfortable 21.84%.
Shareholders should note the sharp swing to a full-year loss and deterioration in asset quality, which could weigh on the stock in the short term despite a still-strong capital adequacy ratio.
