Escorts Kubota reported its highest-ever monthly tractor sales of 18,798 units in October 2025, up 3.8% from 18,110 units a year ago. Domestic tractor sales grew 3.3% to 18,423 units, supported by festive season demand, lower GST, good monsoons, and reservoir water levels. Export tractor sales jumped 38.4% to 375 units, taking YTD (Apr-Oct FY26) total tractor volumes to 83,256 units, up 11.8% year-on-year. However, the Construction Equipment segment weakened sharply, with October sales falling 28.8% to 452 machines from 635 units last year, and YTD volumes down 22.2%. The company attributed the CE slowdown to extended monsoon and delayed infrastructure project mobilisation, but expects a recovery in the second half of FY26 as government infra spending picks up.
Positive for the tractor business on record monthly volumes and strong export growth, but the construction equipment segment is a clear drag with nearly a 29% monthly volume drop. Mixed near-term signals — the stock may react to the strong agri performance while investors will watch for a recovery in the CE business.
