Back in August and November 2024, the Assistant Commissioner had raised a tax demand of about ₹16.48 lakh (which was nil after adjustments) along with equal interest of ₹16.48 lakh and a penalty of ₹1.65 lakh over disputed ineligible input tax credit. In a new order dated August 12, 2025, passed under Section 128A of the CGST Act, 2017, the tax authorities have waived off the entire interest and penalty imposed on the company.
