Escorts Kubota reported June 2025 tractor sales of 11,498 units, up 2.2% year-on-year, helped by a sharp 114.1% jump in export volumes to 501 units. Domestic tractor sales were nearly flat at 10,997 units (-0.1%) as the company cited supportive factors like timely monsoon, higher MSP for Kharif crops, and good water reservoir levels. For the full Q1 FY26, total tractor volumes grew 0.7% to 30,581 units. In contrast, the Construction Equipment segment continued to struggle, with June 2025 sales falling 27.2% YoY to 334 machines and Q1 FY26 volumes down 23.7% to 1,055 units, due to monsoon-related slowdown, delayed infrastructure projects, and higher prices from emission regulation changes. The company expects CE demand to improve post-monsoon on the back of higher government capex.
Mixed near-term picture: tractor segment remains steady with strong export momentum and positive rural outlook, but the construction equipment business is a clear drag with double-digit volume declines, which could weigh on overall revenue growth and margins in the current quarter.
