Essex Marine Ltd, a seafood processing and exporting company, announced the launch of its own integrated cold chain logistics operations under the brand 'DE SENS COLDSTORE'. The company had previously been running its cold storage facility on a rental basis using third-party logistics providers, and is now transitioning to a full end-to-end cold chain solutions platform covering storage, transportation, and distribution. As part of the initial phase, the company plans to lease four refrigerated vehicles and buy one 12-ton refrigerated truck, with more vehicles to be added over the next 4-6 months. The company also plans to expand operations to the North-Eastern region, starting with Siliguri followed by Guwahati. The company has engaged an experienced operations team from Logistore to support execution while retaining full ownership and control.
