Ester Industries reported Q4 FY26 consolidated total income of INR345.1 crores with adjusted EBITDA of INR53.6 crores (margin 15.5%). The BOPET films segment saw EBIT margins expand to 13% in Q4, driven by moderation in Chinese dumping and favorable antidumping duties from DGTR. Specialty Polymers grew 16% YoY to INR179.3 crores with 32.7% EBIT margins, while rPET volumes surged 258% to 5,325 metric tons. Ester Filmtech achieved a turnaround with 85% capacity utilization and INR131.7 crores revenue. The company raised INR165.25 crores via share warrant issue. Management guided that BOPET margins should sustain for 18-24 months and expects significantly stronger FY27, targeting INR200 crore from specialty polymers and INR2,000-2,200 crore from existing assets.
The earnings call indicates Ester Industries is emerging from the bottom of the BOPET cycle with structural tailwinds from antidumping duties and PWMR rules. The company expects margin improvement in FY27, though investors remain cautious about specialty polymer concentration risk and currency headwinds from euro-denominated debt.
