Euro Pratik Sales Limited's Board has approved acquiring a 51% controlling stake in Chawla Brothers, a partnership firm based in Jalandhar and Ludhiana, for a total cash investment of Rs. 32.20 crore. Chawla Brothers is in the wholesale and retail business of wall panels, laminates, veneer, plywood and other surface decorative products, with a turnover of Rs. 49.50 crore in FY25 (up from Rs. 45.53 crore in FY24 and Rs. 42.70 crore in FY23). The acquisition is aimed at boosting the company's presence in North India and is expected to be completed by 31 March 2026. The deal is not a related-party transaction. Separately, the Board declared an interim dividend of Rs. 0.20 per equity share (20% on face value of Re. 1), with the record date set as 27 March 2026 and payment expected between 28 March and 20 April 2026.
This is a strategic, cash-funded acquisition in Euro Pratik's core decorative surfaces business, giving it a strong North India distribution footprint. The Rs. 32.20 crore deal for 51% of a ~Rs. 50 crore-turnover firm looks reasonable, though investors should watch for post-deal margin and integration updates. The 20% interim dividend offers a short-term return, but the main value driver will be execution of the North India expansion.
