Eveready Industries reported Q1 FY26 revenue of INR 374.1 Crore, up 7.1% year-on-year, with volume growth of 14.3% across key categories. Operating EBITDA grew 7.7% to INR 53.7 Crore with margins expanding slightly to 14.3% (from 14.2%). Profit after tax rose 2.8% to INR 30.2 Crore, but would have grown around 22.7% excluding a one-time ex-gratia payment of INR 7.1 Crore to workmen. The Batteries segment led with 9.8% growth (62% of revenue), Flashlights grew 12.8% driven by 39% jump in rechargeable variants, while Lighting declined 4.4% due to price erosion. The company also settled a long-pending arbitration with Real Touch Finance, paying INR 15 Crore to vacate a restraint order and restore operational flexibility.
The results are broadly positive with double-digit volume growth and steady margins, supported by a strong push into premium Alkaline batteries and rechargeable flashlights. The Real Touch Finance settlement removes a key overhang, improving financial flexibility, while the upcoming Jammu Alkaline plant and premiumization strategy in lighting could support future growth.
