Exicom Tele-Systems inaugurated a new integrated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, Telangana, built with an investment of INR 216 crore. Spread across 18.4 acres with a built-up area of 2,80,000 sq ft, the plant will increase overall production capacity by 2.5X in Phase 1 and create over 750 jobs. The facility will manufacture EV chargers, lithium-ion battery systems, critical power solutions, and Tritium's TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules, featuring Industry 4.0 automation, robotics, an ISO 8 cleanroom, and plans for India's first EV charger interoperability testing center. It also includes a 1 MW rooftop solar plant, 40% green cover, and is designed for IGBC Green Building certification.
This is a meaningful capacity expansion that supports Exicom's growth ambitions in EV charging and power electronics, with the 2.5X capacity boost and INR 216 cr investment signalling strong long-term demand visibility. Short-term margin pressure from depreciation is possible, but the facility strengthens Exicom's positioning in India's fast-growing EV and critical power markets.
