EY, KPMG, Deloitte among top 10 auditors by number of companies audited in FY26

EY Group retained the top spot among auditors in FY26, auditing 187 companies (up 3% YoY), followed by KPMG Group at 157 companies (11% growth) and Deloitte Group at 131. In terms of market capitalisation share, KPMG led at 15.67% (about Rs 71,14,060 crore), with EY at 15.35% and Deloitte at 13.94%, giving the Big Three nearly 45% combined share. Meanwhile, joint audits saw a slight decline to 164 companies (7% of 2,436 listed firms), and mid-term cessations rose to 71 instances across 68 companies.
