FACT responded to NSE's queries about its Q4/FY25 results submission, clarifying that differences between standalone and consolidated figures are due to its joint venture FACT-RCF Building Products Ltd (FRBL), whose losses have wiped out the investment. Under Ind AS 28, FACT has stopped recognizing further losses from FRBL, which is now under CIRP with NCLT-appointed Resolution Professionals. Standalone revenue from operations fell about 20% to Rs. 4,05,091 lakhs in FY25 (from Rs. 5,05,121 lakhs), while profit after tax dropped to Rs. 4,123 lakhs (from Rs. 12,827 lakhs). Q4 alone swung to a profit of Rs. 7,072 lakhs from a loss of Rs. 7,910 lakhs a year ago, helped by Rs. 2,461 lakhs in exceptional income from an RLNG regasification charge refund. The auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
The revenue slump and sharp fall in core earnings raise concerns about underlying business performance, but the JV write-off removes further downside drag from FRBL. The clean audit opinion and clarification should remove immediate regulatory overhang, though shareholders should watch for further weakness in core fertilizer margins.
