CARE Ratings has downgraded Fairchem Organics' credit ratings for all its bank facilities after its annual review based on FY25 audited results. The long-term bank facilities of Rs. 123.99 crore have been cut from CARE A+ (Stable) to CARE A (Stable), and the short-term facilities of Rs. 5 crore have moved from CARE A1+ to CARE A1. A combined long-term/short-term facility of Rs. 2.25 crore was also downgraded similarly. All facilities are with HDFC Bank, and the total rated amount stands at Rs. 131.24 crore. The outlook remains 'Stable', and CARE will share the detailed rationale separately.
While the company remains in the investment-grade bracket, the one-notch downgrade reflects weaker FY25 performance and may lead to slightly higher borrowing costs going forward. Existing shareholders could view this as a mild negative signal, though the stable outlook limits immediate concern.
