Binance Research said sports prediction market volumes surged past $20 billion monthly, driven by the FIFA World Cup's expanded 48-team format. Annual sports prediction market volumes could rise from about $248 billion in 2026 to between $554 billion and $923 billion by 2030, with a base case estimate of $739 billion. Lower fee structures of about 1 percent versus traditional sportsbooks' 10 percent hold rate are cited as a key adoption driver, potentially leaving over $200 billion in additional value with participants by 2030.
