Kundan Minerals and Metals reported its Q1 FY26 results on a standalone and consolidated basis. On a standalone basis, the company had no revenue from operations and only Rs 147.82 lakhs of other income, posting a profit after tax of Rs 97.75 lakhs (EPS Rs 0.16) versus a loss of Rs 14.30 lakhs in Q1 FY25. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations jumped sharply to Rs 15,114.39 lakhs from Rs 210.06 lakhs in Q1 FY25, driven mainly by the inclusion of newly acquired subsidiary Kundan Concentrates Pvt Ltd. Consolidated profit after tax swung to Rs 528.19 lakhs from a loss of Rs 125.63 lakhs (EPS Rs 0.87 vs Rs -0.21). The board also approved the appointment of M/s Bhambri & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for 5 years, scheduled the AGM for 22 September 2025, and noted promoter reclassification per an NCLT Kolkata order.
The strong consolidated performance reflects the impact of the recent subsidiary acquisition rather than organic growth, while the standalone entity is essentially dormant with no operating revenue. Shareholders should watch for execution of the new Ethiopia mining venture and ramp-up of the Dubai subsidiary, as future growth now depends on these group-level initiatives.
