Bharat Textiles & Proofing Industries Ltd reported total income of Rs 2,050.19 lakh for FY26, up ~22.7% from Rs 1,671.21 lakh in FY25. Revenue from operations grew ~18.2% to Rs 1,929.86 lakh. Net profit for the year improved to Rs 33.13 lakh vs Rs 26.25 lakh, a ~26.2% increase. However, Q4 FY26 showed a loss of Rs 86.73 lakh due to high cost of material consumed (Rs 734.53 lakh) against revenue of only Rs 793.53 lakh. The company shifted its TADA factory machinery to Gummidipoondi, Tamil Nadu, and sold the TADA land and building. Operating cash flow turned sharply negative at Rs 183.50 lakh despite positive operating profit, indicating a significant working capital strain. The auditor issued an unqualified clean opinion.
Revenue grew but the company swung to a Q4 loss; the large gap between reported profit (Rs 33 lakh) and negative operating cash flow (Rs -183.50 lakh) is a serious concern for cash-strapped small-cap investors.
