Finolex Cables reported standalone revenue of Rs 6,321 Cr for FY2026, up 19% from Rs 5,319 Cr in the previous year. Standalone PAT grew 14.4% to Rs 622.9 Cr vs Rs 544.4 Cr. Consolidated PAT was Rs 713.7 Cr vs Rs 700.8 Cr, up just 1.85% due to lower other income. The board recommended a dividend of Rs 9 per share (450%), up from Rs 8 last year. Q4 standalone revenue was Rs 1,951 Cr, up 22% year-on-year. Management noted that commodity price volatility led to multiple price revisions, keeping margins under pressure throughout the year. Electrical cables segment revenue grew strongly, while communication cables remained flat. The company also announced leadership changes, with Mahesh Viswanathan elevated to CEO and Sachin Naik appointed as new CFO from June 1, 2026.
Strong topline growth of 19% with 14% PAT growth is positive, but the lower consolidated PAT growth and margin pressure signals that cost pressures are real. The dividend increase and clean audit with unmodified opinion provide investor confidence.
