Finolex Cables reported strong Q3 FY26 results with revenue of Rs. 1,599 Cr, up 35% year-on-year and 16% quarter-on-quarter, driven by robust volumes across wire and cable product lines. EBITDA grew 11% YoY to Rs. 194 Cr, reflecting operating leverage benefits, with a 7% QoQ EBITDA margin improvement (excluding dividend income received in Q2). PAT rose 10% YoY to Rs. 136 Cr, though it declined 27% QoQ due to a Rs. 6 Cr one-time charge from the new Labour Code. YTD FY26 revenue stood at Rs. 4,370 Cr (up 17% YoY), with PAT at Rs. 462 Cr (up 18% YoY). Electrical wires delivered 28% growth, while optic fiber cable volumes surged 34%, highlighting strength in data infrastructure demand. Copper price increases were successfully passed on, protecting margins.
Positive quarterly performance with strong YoY growth in revenue and margins signals healthy business momentum. The QoQ decline in PAT is largely explained by one-off labour code charges and prior quarter dividend income, which should not weigh on the stock. Continued strength in optic fiber cables and electrical wires positions the company well for data infrastructure and power demand themes.
