Finolex Industries reported Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) standalone revenue from operations of ₹1,043.15 crore, down ~8.5% YoY from ₹1,140.49 crore. Standalone profit after tax came in at ₹96.93 crore versus ₹505.20 crore in Q1 FY25, though the prior-year figure was inflated by a one-time exceptional gain of ₹416.99 crore from the transfer of leasehold land rights at Chinchwad, Pune. On a like-for-like basis (excluding the exceptional), operating profit and underlying PAT show a more modest change. Consolidated PAT for the quarter was ₹98.16 crore. The board also announced a major leadership transition: current MD Saurabh Dhanorkar will step down on October 25, 2025 upon attaining age 70, and will be succeeded by Udipt Agarwal (currently CCO at Alkyl Amines Chemicals) from November 1, 2025 for a five-year term. Rambabu Sanka joins as Director-Technical. Independent Director Rajesh Rathi and Director-Technical Saumya Chakrabarti have resigned. SVD & Associates were appointed as Secretarial Auditors for five years. The 44th AGM is scheduled for September 12, 2025.
Headline earnings look weak due to a tough YoY comparison (no exceptional gain this quarter versus a ₹417 cr land-sale gain last year), but underlying operations appear stable.
