Foods & Inns Limited announced its FY25 results with standalone revenue from operations at Rs. 972.9 crores, down about 2.4% from Rs. 997.3 crores in FY24, while consolidated revenue fell roughly 2.7% to Rs. 992.1 crores. However, the company posted strong Q4 FY25 standalone revenue of Rs. 393.2 crores, up about 16% year-on-year, signalling a strong rebound. Standalone net profit for FY25 grew about 21% to Rs. 44.3 crores (from Rs. 36.7 crores), aided by a shift to a lower tax rate of 25.168% under Section 115BAA. The board recommended a 30% dividend (Rs. 0.30 per share) for FY25, and the auditor (G.M. Kapadia & Co.) issued an unmodified opinion on the results. Operating cash flow turned positive at Rs. 12.9 crores versus a negative Rs. 19.5 crores in FY24, and the company received a Rs. 25.08 crore PLI incentive tranche. Frozen foods business grew around 35% in FY25 and the company plans to invest Rs. 10 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary for asset acquisition.
Mixed picture: a flat-to-slightly-negative top line for the full year is offset by a sharp Q4 recovery, improving profitability, and a generous dividend. The shift to a lower tax regime boosts near-term earnings, but investors should note that core profit before tax actually declined about 19% due to higher finance and depreciation costs from capacity expansion.
