FPIs sell ₹63,450 crore of Indian equities in June first half; financials, oil & gas stocks see highest outflows

Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) sold Indian equities worth Rs 63,450 crore during the first half of June 2026, taking total net outflows in calendar year 2026 to over Rs 2.79 lakh crore. Selling was broad-based, with Financial Services (Rs 11,263 crore), Oil and Gas (Rs 10,488 crore), Automobile and Auto Components (Rs 9,044 crore), and IT (Rs 6,733 crore) recording the highest outflows. Only Telecom (Rs 373 crore), Services (Rs 302 crore), and Utilities (Rs 7 crore) attracted modest FPI inflows during the period.
