Franklin Industries reported a sharp decline in Q2 FY26 results, with net sales falling to Rs 659.62 lakh from Rs 2,710.69 lakh in Q2 FY25 (a ~76% drop). Half-yearly net sales fell to Rs 1,836.71 lakh vs Rs 5,373.95 lakh in H1 FY25 (~66% decline). Profit after tax for the quarter plunged to Rs 6.29 lakh from Rs 399.38 lakh, while H1 PAT fell to Rs 215.73 lakh from Rs 964.78 lakh. The company raised Rs 4,820 lakh via a rights issue of 48.2 crore equity shares at par on August 5, 2025, which boosted share capital from Rs 2,892 lakh to Rs 7,712 lakh. Operating cash flow was deeply negative at Rs -4,823.71 lakh for H1 FY26. Trade receivables rose ~21% to Rs 7,570.89 lakh, while inventories surged nearly fivefold to Rs 2,045.65 lakh.
Negative for shareholders — a steep revenue slump, near-zero quarterly profit, and heavy equity dilution from the rights issue are concerns. However, the fresh capital strengthens the balance sheet and the auditor issued a clean (unqualified) limited review report with no going concern flags.
