Fusion Finance has submitted the CRISIL Ratings-led Monitoring Agency Report for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, covering its Rights Issue of Rs 799.86 crore (6,10,58,392 partly paid-up equity shares at Rs 131 each). Of this, Rs 399.93 crore (the first call of Rs 65.50 per share) has been received so far, with the balance Rs 399.93 crore due through subsequent calls by March 31, 2027. The sole object of the issue is augmenting the company's capital base to support loan portfolio growth and maintain capital adequacy ratios as a microfinance institution. No utilization of issue proceeds was reported during the quarter, and there were no deviations from the stated objects. The unutilized Rs 399.93 crore has been parked in fixed deposits across AU Bank, RBL, SBI, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, and Federal Bank (Rs 230 crore in FDs earning Rs 0.12 crore interest at 4-6.56%) plus Rs 164.93 crore in current/monitoring accounts. All required government and statutory approvals have been obtained.
Neutral to mildly positive for shareholders — the capital raise is on track with no deviations, and idle funds are earning modest interest in bank FDs. Investors should note that no deployment toward actual lending/capital purposes has happened yet, which is expected since the first call money was only recently received and the balance call is due by March 2027.
