Galaxy Surfactants posted Q1FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) consolidated revenue of ₹1,289.2 crore, up 31.6% year-on-year, driven by price pass-throughs despite mid-single-digit volume growth. EBITDA rose 4.3% YoY to ₹135.1 crore, but EBITDA margin contracted sharply from 13.2% to 10.5%, reflecting higher raw material costs. Profit after tax was nearly flat at ₹79.5 crore (down 0.3% YoY) with PAT margin falling to 6.2% from 8.1%. Segment-wise, Performance Surfactants brought in ₹840.5 crore and Specialty Care ₹448.6 crore. India and AMET (Africa, Middle East, Turkey) volumes were flat YoY, while Rest of World grew at a strong 16% YoY led by LATAM and APAC. Sequentially, revenue grew 11.8% and PAT grew 4.8% versus Q4FY25.
Strong top-line growth was undermined by significant margin compression, leaving bottom-line flat — a mixed result that may weigh on the stock despite healthy ROW momentum. Investors will watch for margin recovery and a revival in India volumes, which the company has guided as 'cautiously optimistic' on the back of a good monsoon, rate cuts, and rural stimulus.
