GRSE, a Ministry of Defence shipbuilder, reported strong Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations rising nearly 30% year-on-year to Rs. 1,309.87 crore (from Rs. 1,009.72 crore in Q1 FY25). Profit after tax (PAT) jumped about 38% YoY to Rs. 120.18 crore, pushing EPS to Rs. 10.49 versus Rs. 7.61 last year. Net profit margin also expanded to 9.17% from 8.64% a year ago, reflecting improved operational efficiency. On a sequential basis, both revenue and profit were lower than the strong Q4 FY25 quarter, which is typical for the company's order execution pattern. The statutory auditor (Guha Nandi & Co.) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications. Net worth rose to Rs. 2,198.80 crore and the debt-equity ratio remained very low at 0.012.
Strong YoY revenue and profit growth signals robust order execution and operational momentum, which should be viewed positively by shareholders. The QoQ decline is normal seasonality and not a concern. Low debt levels and expanding margins reinforce the company's financial strength.
