GCM Securities Ltd reported a Q2FY26 loss of ₹26.24 lakhs, wider than the ₹5.87 lakh loss in Q2FY25. For the half year (H1FY26), the company just about turned profitable at ₹1.46 lakhs versus an ₹18.30 lakh loss a year ago. Total income fell to ₹57.58 lakhs in H1FY26 from ₹66.36 lakhs in H1FY25, and revenue from operations actually swung to a negative ₹46.17 lakhs in Q2 on trading activity. The balance sheet remains weak — reserves and surplus are deeply negative at ₹-428.40 lakhs against equity share capital of ₹1,899.60 lakhs, with total borrowings of around ₹643 lakhs. The statutory auditor, in an 'Other Matter' note, highlighted that loans, trade receivables, trade payables, and secured/unsecured loan balances are all subject to confirmation and reconciliation. Operating cash flow was positive at ₹84.67 lakhs for the half year.
Negative reserves, a wider quarterly loss, and the auditor's flag on un-reconciled balances are clear red flags that could pressure the stock and erode investor confidence. The marginal H1 profit offers little cushion given the eroded net worth.
