GE Vernova T&D India reported strong Q2 FY26 results with revenue up 39% to INR 15.4 billion (from INR 11.1 billion a year ago). Profit after tax more than doubled to INR 2,995 million, with margins expanding to 19.5% from 13.1%. EBITDA also improved sharply to INR 3,965 million (25.8% margin) versus INR 2,047 million (18.5%) last year. However, new order bookings fell 66% to INR 16.1 billion, compared to INR 46.8 billion in Q2 FY25. The company secured multiple orders for GIS and AIS substations across Gujarat, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, along with export orders to Europe, North America, Middle East and Africa. The company announced a INR 806 crore capacity expansion plan for Transformers, Reactors, GIS and AIS products, on top of the INR 140 crore announced in May 2025.
Strong execution and margin expansion signal healthy operational momentum, likely positive for the stock. However, the sharp 66% drop in order bookings is a concern that may temper sentiment, though management attributes it to a disciplined focus on margin-accretive orders.
