State Bank of India has submitted a corrigendum to the Notice of its General Meeting scheduled for May 9, 2025. The changes follow a Government of India notification dated April 7, 2025 for amalgamation of 26 Regional Rural Banks under the 'One State One RRB' framework. Key amendments: Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank (now renamed Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank) will be sponsored by Union Bank of India effective May 1, 2025, so it ceases to be a related party of SBI, and the related Item no. 14 resolution is withdrawn. 'Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank' is renamed to 'Rajasthan Gramin Bank' across the notice. Items 15-18 are renumbered as 14-17, reducing total business items from 18 to 17. The corrigendum has been published in the Gazette of India and in Business Standard (English/Hindi) and Aapla Mahanagar (Marathi) on April 29, 2025.
This is a procedural administrative update with no material financial impact on SBI shareholders. It clarifies the agenda of the upcoming General Meeting in light of government-mandated RRB consolidation but does not affect SBI's capital, dividends, or core business operations.
