Geojit Financial Services shared its Q1 FY26 investor presentation on July 15, 2025. Customer assets stood at ₹1,11,252 crore with over 15.51 lakh customers and 508 offices across India and GCC countries. Consolidated total income was ₹15,330 lacs, down 14% QoQ and 15% YoY, while PAT fell 11% QoQ and 37% YoY to ₹2,867 lacs, and PBT dropped 39% YoY to ₹3,664 lacs. However, brokerage income rose 28% QoQ to ₹6,154 lacs, and recurring revenue assets grew 23% YoY to ₹22,653 crore (now 20% of customer assets). Mutual Fund AUM grew 17% to ₹16,069 crore, Smartfolios AUM jumped 30% to ₹1,118 crore, life insurance premium rose 47%, and SIP book value grew 24% to ₹129 crore, showing strength in non-brokerage, annuity-style businesses.
Weak headline numbers with declining profits reflect tough market conditions in Q1, but the strong growth in recurring revenue and asset-based businesses is a positive structural sign for long-term stability. Shareholders should note the shift from volatile brokerage to steady recurring income, which may support valuations despite near-term earnings pressure.
