SEBI has extended the deadline for re-lodgement of physical share transfer requests that were originally lodged before April 1, 2019 but were rejected, returned, or not processed due to document or process deficiencies. Shareholders now have until February 4, 2027 to resubmit their transfer requests. All securities re-lodged during this special window will only be processed in dematerialized (electronic) form as per SEBI guidelines. The company has published newspaper advertisements informing shareholders and provided contact details for MAS Services Limited, their Registrar and Share Transfer Agent, to receive the applications.
This is a shareholder convenience measure under SEBI's Ease of Doing Business initiative. It allows investors with stuck physical share certificates to finally get them transferred, but does not materially impact the company's financial position or stock price.
