Gillette India announced a senior management change effective August 1, 2025. Mr. Kapil Sharma has been appointed as Category Head - Grooming, taking over from Mr. Abhishek Desai. Mr. Desai has been promoted within P&G to a regional leadership role covering Asia, Middle East and Africa, based in Dubai, and will step down from the India leadership team by August 31, 2025. Mr. Sharma currently leads Global Digital Commerce and Superior Retail Execution for P&G in Cincinnati, USA, and has been with P&G since 2001. He holds an MBA from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research and a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering & Technology, Lucknow.
This is a routine internal leadership transition within P&G's global structure and is unlikely to materially affect Gillette India's operations or share price. The incoming head brings strong digital commerce and international experience, which may support the grooming segment going forward.
