Medanta reported strong Q4 and full year FY26 results with total income of INR 45,089 million (up 20% YoY) and PAT of INR 5,541 million (up 15.1% YoY). The new Noida 550-bed hospital reported revenue of INR 906 million with EBITDA loss of INR 783 million, though Q4 losses narrowed to INR 236 million from INR 320 million in Q3. Management expects Noida to break even in H2 FY27. The company added 623 beds during FY26 and plans to add ~500 beds in existing hospitals and ~2,700 beds through 5 greenfield projects over 3-4 years. Total capex over next 5 years is ~INR 45,000 million. The board recommended a dividend of INR 0.50 per share. FY27 capex is expected at INR 800-900 crores. Mature hospital margins remained stable at ~24-25% range.
Medanta's strong execution on volume growth (16% IPD, 19% OPD) and improving ARPOB (6.1%) demonstrates operational strength. While Noida remains a drag on consolidated margins, its improving trajectory and management's margin stability guidance for mature units is reassuring. The announced capex plan and expansion pipeline support long-term growth but will require ongoing capital deployment.
