Global Health (Medanta) reported FY2025 total income of INR 37,714 million, up 12.6% year-on-year, driven by higher patient volumes. EBITDA grew 9.4% to INR 9,562 million though margins slipped to 25.4% from 26.1%. Reported PAT was nearly flat at INR 4,813 million, held back by a one-time exceptional expense of INR 499 million linked to the merger of its Lucknow entity (MHPL); adjusted PAT grew 8.5% to INR 5,186 million. Q4 FY2025 was strong with total income up 14.1% and EBITDA up 19.8% at INR 2,476 million with margins improving to 26.0%. The company added 219 beds during the year, occupancy stood at 62.1%, and in-patient volumes rose 11.7%. Medanta declared its first-ever dividend of INR 0.50 per share (25%) and ended the year with a net cash position of INR 8,123 million.
Investors get a mixed read: topline and volume growth are healthy and the company turned free cash positive, but reported PAT was muted due to merger-related charges. The inaugural dividend, strong Q4 EBITDA margin expansion, and a pipeline adding ~1,000 beds over two years (Noida, Mumbai, Pitampura, Ranchi, Guwahati) are supportive of the medium-term growth story.
